It's 1956. During a visit to a cinema in West Berlin, East German high school pupils Theo and Kurt see disturbing newsreel footage of the uprising in Budapest. Back in Stalinstadt, one of the GDR’s flagship workers’ settlements, they have the idea of holding a minute’s silence in class for the victims of the Hungarian struggle for freedom.

What Netflix is doing to the movie business, Apple is doing to the music business, and Amazon is doing to book publishing. Amazon has become selling more Kindle copies of books than newspaper copies. Facebook is bit more than a way to absorb people's personal information, and sell this to advertisers Google Window, plus new facial identification technology, will make that much less difficult. Facebook has created over 70 million fake accounts. The hope is that the author, for instance, will see their account already set up, and decide to use that. For that reason, the author says that he will never post in Facebook.
